Dining Room Attendant/Checker

Responsibilities

• Keep salad bar, beverage area, and surrounding food service areas well-stocked, clean, and organized
• Serve food items to students and maintain attractive and clean serving lines
• Replenish food items and record temperatures of food items
• Clean serving area, floors, and counters throughout meal periods
• Update kitchen staff on student counts
• Use customer management software to facilitate student flow and manage meal swipes
• Manage cash collection and other tender types when assigned to the checking station

Requirements

• Knowledge of food sanitation standards and safety procedures
• Knowledge of dining room equipment such as beverage and frozen yogurt machines
• Ability to lift 10-20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds
• Ability to push and pull 150 pounds frequently
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Previous food service experience
• Cashier experience
• Strong math skills and computer competence
