About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional inspections on various components, subassemblies, and manufacturing tooling to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
  • Verify machine setups using various inspection devices
  • Inspect simple manufacturing tooling such as cutting tools, assembly fixtures, and machining fixtures
  • Inspect characteristics associated with the weld process and inspect base material using various inspection equipment
  • Perform liquid penetrant and visual inspection in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A and NAVSEA-250-1500
  • Inspect electrical characteristics of mechanisms for wound coil assemblies (e.g., megger, fluke, HI-POT)
  • Verify and review process documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Maintain computer literacy for documentation review, labor reports, digital photography, and computer-aided inspection equipment

Requirements

  • US citizenship required due to DoD requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
  • Ability to read blueprints for machined parts (ASME Y14.5)
  • Proficiency in shop mathematics, including basic algebra and trigonometry
  • Minimum of one year of inspection and/or machining experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
