Digital Transformation Consultant

Responsibilities

• Support research, knowledge development, and day-to-day project management regarding digital government, AI, and cybersecurity.
• Provide technical advice to LAC governments on digital transformation topics.
• Support training, capacity building, and outreach efforts with international donors to manage relationships and prepare new project proposals.
• Document and share Japanese expertise in digital government, AI, and cybersecurity with the LAC region.
• Develop annual plans to facilitate knowledge exchange between Japan and LAC countries.
• Maintain implementation reporting and knowledge materials within IDB and beneficiary client information systems.

Requirements

• Master's degree in engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, AI, or a related digital agenda discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in digital transformation fields, preferably within the public sector.
• Fluency in both Japanese and English is required.
• Must hold Japanese citizenship.
• No family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity) working at IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region.
• Proficiency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
