Digital Systems Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide local first-response support for production digital systems, including manufacturing execution systems (MES), shopfloor applications, and traceability systems.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day production system issues by collaborating with production, engineering, quality, and IT teams.
• Perform on-site support for hardware and connectivity issues, such as terminal verification, scanner/printer connectivity, and workstation setup.
• Monitor system performance, data flow, and availability to ensure production continuity and data integrity.
• Support new system deployments, including user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Train local users on digital system operations, issue reporting, and basic troubleshooting.
• Document support cases, root causes, and workarounds to improve the regional knowledge base.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Automation, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to support live production environments.
• Understanding of system integration concepts, including interfaces, APIs, and data flow.
• Familiarity with databases, SQL queries, operating systems, and basic networking concepts.
• Willingness to travel to Mexico at least quarterly for on-site support.
• Ability to meet applicable U.S. Person access requirements for ITAR-controlled production support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting manufacturing execution systems (MES) or shopfloor applications in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with manufacturing digital transformation projects or new site deployments.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation tools such as SQL, Python, or PowerShell.
• Exposure to data analytics platforms like Power BI.
• Multilingual capabilities in English, Spanish, or Mandarin Chinese.
