Digital Sub Editor

Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread website content, digital newsletters, and online communications
• Update and maintain Monocle’s digital editions and City Guide
• Collaborate with editors, writers, the photography desk, and the wider digital team
• Support the wider subediting desk across magazine, radio, and café copy
• Ensure all public-facing copy meets Monocle’s tone, style, and legal standards

Requirements

• Confidence using content management systems and editing software
• Excellent grammar, spelling, writing, and fact-checking skills
• Knowledge of media law and journalistic standards
• Ability to adapt quickly to Monocle’s tone and style
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative approach
• Right to work in the UK
