Digital Service Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical service, including installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair of medical devices.
• Support digital integrations, software interoperability, and multi-platform implementations in clinical environments.
• Diagnose and replace defective components to restore equipment functionality while collaborating with hospital biomedical engineering staff.
• Document all service activities, repairs, and maintenance in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage and schedule travel to various stakeholder and clinical facilities to provide technical support and training.
• Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety protocols and hospital regulations.

Requirements

• College diploma in IT, Networking, Electronics, or Biomedical Engineering.
• 3+ years of combined experience in biomedical equipment service and healthcare IT/Networking.
• Proven experience supporting networked medical devices and integrating them with IT systems.
• Knowledge of networking infrastructure including LAN, WAN, firewalls, switching, and routing.
• Experience with healthcare data communication protocols such as HL7, FHIR, or HIE platforms.
• Ability to travel 50-75%, including overnight stays and long-distance driving.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Science Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Field Services related to biomedical equipment and healthcare IT.
