Digital R&D Physical AI Engineering Expert

Responsibilities

• Design AI systems to optimize chemical reaction yields, purity, and safety by modeling thermodynamics and kinetics
• Leverage the NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Isaac Lab (Omniverse) ecosystem as a GPU-accelerated physics engine to simulate lab environments
• Develop Bayesian Optimization and Active Learning algorithms to intelligently decide the next best experiments
• Create Digital Twins that synchronize with real-world lab sensors to ensure simulations are grounded in physical reality
• Architect control logic for lab automation hardware to enable closed-loop, autonomous discovery

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Robotics, or Computer Science
• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, MuJoCo, or PyBullet
• Expert-level Python proficiency, specifically with PyTorch and JAX
• Familiarity with C++ for performance-critical simulation modules
• Strong understanding of the Small Molecule R&D lifecycle and uncertainty quantification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) or surrogate modeling
• Experience building custom extensions within the NVIDIA Omniverse stack
• Familiarity with ROS2 or low-level integration with lab automation hardware (e.g., liquid handlers)
