Digital Producer

Responsibilities

• Produce and publish digital news content for ABC News Online, including text, images, audio, and video
• Write, edit, and sub-edit stories to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to ABC editorial standards
• Collaborate with newsroom, Local Radio, and central editorial teams to deliver comprehensive ACT coverage
• Generate and develop story ideas tailored for digital audiences
• Maintain a strong awareness of local, national, and international news
• Build and maintain professional contacts within the Canberra community
• Contribute to innovative, audience-focused storytelling across multiple platforms

Requirements

• Proven experience in digital journalism, including writing, editing, and publishing content online
• Excellent attention to detail with strong sub-editing skills and the ability to produce accurate work quickly
• Strong understanding of digital platforms, audience engagement, and multimedia storytelling
• Strong news judgement and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
