Digital Platforms R&D Leader

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the R&D strategy and roadmap for digital platforms, including cloud services, mobile experience platforms, and DevSecOps capabilities.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary engineering organization of approximately 50 engineers.
• Drive platform architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align platform capabilities with product and business objectives.
• Drive engineering excellence through standardized processes, automation, and DevSecOps practices.
• Lead AI-enabled software engineering transformations to improve productivity and developer experience.
• Manage R&D budgets, resource planning, and prioritization to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of overall professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading R&D or platform engineering organizations.
• Proven track record of leading teams of 40+ engineers in global, matrixed environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native platforms, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of mobile ecosystems, specifically Android and iOS.
• Extensive experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading or contributing to AI-based SDLC transformation initiatives.
• Practical exposure to GenAI technologies and their application in engineering workflows.
• Experience managing large-scale engineering transformations and platform modernization.
• Strong expertise in software security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
