About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and execute digital platforms and infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Oversee infrastructure operations including servers, networks, storage, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity
- Manage vendor relationships and budgets, including contract negotiation and commercial optimization
- Lead disaster recovery and security initiatives to ensure compliance and resilience
- Mentor and develop the digital platform and infrastructure team to foster a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles
- 5+ years of experience in leadership positions
- Proven success in designing, building, and managing complex infrastructure platforms
- Deep knowledge of cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code
- Strong cybersecurity experience and understanding of risk management
- Familiarity with ITIL and service delivery best practices
- Strong commercial acumen and vendor management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with disaster recovery planning
- Proficiency with automation tools
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in the logistics or transport sector
