Digital Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage local and regional social media accounts using best practices to engage priority audiences
• Create, edit, and repurpose engaging digital content, including audiovisual products like videos and photos
• Ensure timely delivery of digital content optimized for search and audience engagement
• Partner with Audiovisual Producers, Web Editors, and Digital Officers to coordinate content delivery
• Conduct evaluations of digital content success and produce regular social media reports
• Identify reactive opportunities to contribute to quick-turnaround digital campaigns
• Provide guidance to colleagues on managing digital channels and best practices

Requirements

• Degree in communications, marketing, or journalism
• 3-5 years of overall professional experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital or internal communication
• Proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal or WordPress
• Proficiency in design tools, specifically Adobe Photoshop
• Proven experience engaging audiences via social media platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
• Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and web editing
• Familiarity with ad management tools (Google Ads, Facebook, or Twitter)
• Excellent public speaking skills and the ability to communicate technical matters clearly
