Digital Mock-Up and Mechanical Design Tools Specialist

Responsibilities

• Create, update, verify, and share digital mock-ups (DMU) for nacelles used on test aircraft
• Analyze and validate received digital data to ensure consistency with component definitions and client standards
• Provide technical expertise and support to ensure teams have the necessary IT tools and knowledge
• Train technical teams on specific company standards and prepare training materials
• Perform technological watch on design tools, such as topological optimization, to identify new opportunities
• Develop extensions and macros (CATVBA, Python, or C++) to customize 3D design and calculation software
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and work instructions
• Collaborate with international design teams in the US, India, and Mexico, as well as final clients

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical design or mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an aerospace engineering design office
• Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5
• Strong knowledge of composite and metallic structures, systems, and digital mock-ups
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) for a highly international environment
• Programming knowledge in CATVBA, Python, or C++ is a plus
