Digital Media Graduate Assistant

Responsibilities

• Create engaging digital content for the athletic website and official social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X)
• Capture and edit photo and video content for digital and social media use, including producing highlight packages
• Assist in writing, editing, and distributing press releases, game recaps, previews, and feature stories
• Design and produce graphics, game programs, and promotional materials to enhance fan engagement
• Provide broadcast and editing support to the Director of Digital Media and Broadcasting
• Assist with live stats during games and events and help nominate student-athletes for awards
• Research and contribute to the social media content calendar and attend weekly athletic administration meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in sports management, communications, broadcasting, digital media, marketing, or a related field
• Strong video editing and graphic design skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to tell compelling stories of student-athletes, coaches, and the athletic department

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in digital media, sports broadcasting, video production, or athletic communications
• Experience managing social media platforms for an organization or athletic program
• Previous experience in college athletics or other athletic organizations
