Digital Innovation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical leader on digital projects, ensuring technical challenges are resolved throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Lead initiatives from idea generation and rapid prototyping to MVP development and commercial deployment.
• Create key documentation, including project and resource plans, to support the phase gate process.
• Collaborate with external partners and review technical SOW documentation for clarity and completeness.
• Deliver technical outcomes in specialized areas such as IoT, sensor development, automation, data engineering, or software development.
• Drive an innovative culture by suggesting new solutions and adopting emerging technologies.
• Partner with R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure digital solutions align with global business strategies.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 3+ years of experience.
• M.S. in a related technical field with 1+ year of experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) or IoT hardware/software stacks.
• Practical experience in at least one core focus area: sensor development, automation, back-end/front-end development, IoT, data engineering, or data science.
• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to apply statistical inference to practical situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working within cross-functional global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS (IoT Hub, Lambda, etc.).
• Proficiency in modern frameworks like React, Angular, or React Native.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI or big data technologies like Hadoop/Hive.
• Experience with embedded programming and PCB design for IoT applications.
