Digital Health Consultant

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive evaluation of Electronic Health Record (EHR) usage and adoption in health units in Sergipe, Brazil, as part of the ProRedes project.
• Plan and execute field visits, including direct observation of care processes across different shifts.
• Conduct structured and semi-structured interviews with doctors, nurses, managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Analyze factors affecting EHR adoption, such as technological infrastructure, system usability, user training, and care processes.
• Identify gaps, barriers, and root causes of low adoption rates.
• Prepare detailed technical diagnostic reports and develop prioritized practical recommendations for improvement.
• Propose indicators and monitoring mechanisms to evaluate the evolution of EHR usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Management, Health, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in digital health, including the evaluation of health information systems and EHR adoption.
• Proven experience in field research, conducting interviews, and managing focus groups.
• Proficiency in Portuguese is mandatory.
• Must be a citizen of Brazil or one of the 48 IDB member countries with legal authorization to work in Brazil.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or specialization in Digital Health, Health Informatics, or related fields.
• Proficiency in English or Spanish.
