Digital Forensics Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead complex digital forensic investigations involving cybersecurity incidents, data breaches, insider threats, and fraud.
• Direct evidence acquisition and analysis activities while ensuring investigations follow approved methodologies.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Digital Forensics Analysts.
• Review forensic reports and evidence documentation to ensure legal defensibility and evidentiary integrity.
• Support major incident response activities, including ransomware and advanced threat investigations.
• Develop and maintain forensic procedures, evidence handling standards, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Evaluate emerging forensic technologies and drive service maturity initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Proven track record of at least 5 completed digital forensic investigations.
• Valid NCSC-approved certification (e.g., GCFE, GCFA, CHFI) or equivalent.
• Proficiency in disk, memory, mobile, and network forensics.
• Hands-on experience with forensic tooling such as EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, or X-Ways.
• Ability to lead forensic engagements and produce defensible, high-quality reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting legal proceedings or regulatory investigations.
