About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scripts, tools, and automation to support digital forensic and investigative processes
  • Act as a subject matter expert bridging investigative teams and engineering teams
  • Partner with investigators and analysts to translate investigative requirements into technical solutions
  • Enhance forensic workflows including data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for forensic tools
  • Ensure all solutions align with enterprise security, compliance, and data handling standards
  • Integrate and support forensic tools, eDiscovery platforms, and case management systems
  • Collaborate within a DevOps team to improve the reliability and scalability of forensic capabilities

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years as a digital forensic examiner and 5+ years in a development role
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for scripting and automation
  • Experience with .NET framework and/or C# development
  • Hands-on experience with forensic tools such as Nuix, Magnet Forensics, or Microsoft Purview
  • Strong understanding of digital forensic processes and investigative workflows
  • Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and enterprise desktop environments
  • Experience working with databases such as SQL, MongoDB, or MariaDB

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing automation specifically for forensic or investigative workflows
  • Familiarity with case management systems and enterprise device management tools like Intune
  • Exposure to cloud environments and enterprise architectures
  • Experience working in DevOps, Agile, or SAFe environments (e.g., Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and reporting tools like Power BI
