Digital Forensics Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic acquisition of digital evidence from workstations, servers, mobile devices, virtual environments, and cloud platforms
• Ensure proper chain of custody procedures and preserve evidence integrity using approved methodologies
• Analyze digital evidence to identify unauthorized access, data theft, insider threats, and malware activity
• Examine file systems, registry artifacts, event logs, and network evidence to conduct timeline analysis
• Prepare detailed forensic reports documenting methodology, findings, and conclusions for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Maintain awareness of emerging attack techniques and anti-forensics methodologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or intermediate diploma from a recognized institution
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity
• Completion of at least 2 full digital forensic investigations
• Valid NCSC-approved forensics certification (e.g., GCFE, GCFA, CHFI, or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with forensic tools and sound evidence-handling practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to mobile and cloud forensics
• Experience working in an MSSP, forensic lab, or law-enforcement environment
