About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day content across priority social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Utilize social media scheduling tools to create and manage engaging posts aligned with institutional priorities
- Produce short-form video content and branded graphics to increase engagement
- Develop compelling student and alumni stories that highlight campus experiences and outcomes
- Write, edit, and update website content via WordPress to ensure accuracy and brand alignment
- Apply SEO best practices to improve website visibility and user experience
- Track and report on engagement metrics using Google Analytics and native social media insights
- Provide live social media coverage and photography for select campus events
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or student work
- Three writing samples and an online portfolio or resume links demonstrating digital content skills
- Strong writing and editing skills with high attention to detail
- Basic photography and video editing skills
- Basic design skills for creating branded graphics
- Familiarity with emerging social media platforms and digital content trends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using WordPress or similar content management systems
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and social media insights tools
- Experience with social media scheduling platforms such as Loomly, Hootsuite, Sprout, or Later
