Digital Content Producer

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and publish breaking news, weather, sports, and feature stories for the station website and social media platforms
• Create compelling headlines and mobile push notifications for breaking news and severe weather
• Collaborate with Reporters, Assignment Editors, and Producers to ensure accurate and rapid content delivery and cross-platform promotion
• Manage LIVE streams of newscasts and breaking news coverage
• Develop multimedia special projects and social content, including graphics and videos
• Contribute innovative ideas to grow the station's digital presence

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a professional television newsroom or web-publishing environment
• Strong editorial judgment and excellent AP writing skills
• Proficiency in Photoshop and basic video editing knowledge
• Experience with social media best practices
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays to cover a 24-hour news cycle
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
