About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the NFL Media Assignment Desk in all phases of the newsgathering process for digital content
- Work closely with NFL.com editorial staff, ticker operators, and content producers
- Utilize social media for content gathering and proactive outreach via phone, social media, or email
- Identify key players and coaches and select optimal video and soundbites for editing
Requirements
- 4-year degree or equivalent education
- 1+ years in a newsroom or journalism environment
- Strong football knowledge and awareness of NFL events and stories
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work onsite in Inglewood, CA
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional experience in a TV Production environment
- Experience in copy-editing
- Knowledge of Premiere, Adobe, or Tagboard
