About the role

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, scope of work, and project schedules
  • Tailor MEP coordination schedules and BIM execution plans to match project needs
  • Manage FTP sites, including folder organization, model management, and weekly uploads
  • Lead project kick-offs with all trades to set coordination structure
  • Create Revit central models with linked design models for background exports
  • Model gaps between drawings and scope of work, including soffits, ceiling details, and lighting
  • Review drawings before 100% CD’s and mark up shop drawings
  • Create RFIs throughout shop review and coordination processes
  • Perform and utilize laser scan data (.rcp, .rcs) for projects
  • Lead MEP coordination meetings and manage trades
  • Lead collaboration problem-solving sessions with architects and engineers
  • Perform clash detection and issue clash reports
  • Produce weekly VDC reports, meeting minutes, and schedule updates
  • Aid in business development presentations using graphics, animations, and slides
  • Assist and mentor new VDC hires

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, design, engineering, or construction management
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Competence in Bluebeam and Microsoft Suite
  • Experience in the preparation of 3D visualizations
  • Understanding of construction document sets
  • Ability to travel to project sites
  • Exceptional communication skills
