Digital Communications Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage website governance and operations, including CMS administration, homepage publishing, and page audits.
• Execute institutional email communications, including building, scheduling, and segmenting audience lists.
• Optimize search and discoverability through SEO, AEO, and metadata best practices.
• Lead accessibility and compliance efforts, ensuring ADA and WCAG standards are met across web content and email.
• Implement digital data privacy practices in alignment with regulations like FERPA and GDPR.
• Partner with departments to provide CMS training and consultation to improve digital content quality.
• Collaborate with Admissions and the CCO on lead generation email strategies and performance reporting.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in digital communications, content strategy, or digital operations.
• Fluency in Content Management Systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms.
• Demonstrated understanding of SEO, AEO, and accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG).
• Proficiency in GA4 and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Strong writing and editing skills across diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and build structure in ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in digital communications for independent schools, higher education, or nonprofits.
• Expertise in accessibility auditing and remediation.
• Experience with AI-supported content workflows.
