Digital Cloud & Data Platform Sr. Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and evolution of the enterprise data platform, including the target architecture for real-time and batch processing.
• Design and operate enterprise data storage using Amazon S3 and Apache Iceberg, implementing Medallion architecture patterns.
• Develop reusable building blocks for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and serving.
• Provide standardized pipelines and templates to enable analytics, applications, and ML teams to consume data efficiently.
• Enforce enterprise-grade security and governance using Lake Formation, IAM, and KMS.
• Implement data quality, validation, lineage, and observability controls across all pipelines.
• Optimize storage, compute, and query performance for cost efficiency and predictable scaling.

Requirements

• 8-12+ years of experience in cloud, data engineering, or platform engineering roles.
• Expertise in Medallion architecture and cloud-native data services.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark and Apache Flink for real-time and batch processing.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon S3 and Apache Iceberg.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with analytical query engines like Athena or Trino.
• Knowledge of cloud security and governance tools including IAM, KMS, and Lake Formation.
• Experience with workflow orchestration using Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to industrial IoT or time-series data environments.
• Experience with data reliability engineering, including schema evolution and observability at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including edge, application, and AI engineers.
