About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nutrition care and counseling to clients in an interdisciplinary healthcare setting
- Screen patient charts, review laboratory data, and conduct thorough food/diet history assessments
- Analyze food intake against nutritional requirements and translate scientific data into practical, individualized goals
- Determine potential nutrient, supplement, and drug interactions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care
- Chart assessments, plans, and progress in medical records
- Develop nutritional education resources for one-on-one consultations and seminars
- Assist with clinic-related administrative tasks and other clinical support duties
Requirements
- University Degree in Nutritional Science (dietetics)
- Dietetic Internship completed in a public or private healthcare environment
- Current registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a clinical dietitian
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to variable work schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- Multidisciplinary healthcare experience
- Proven professional experience in nutrition education and strong counseling skills
