Dietitian Assistant

Responsibilities

• Handle, label, prepare, and deliver human milk, infant/pediatric formulas, and enteral nutrition formulas following safety guidelines.
• Verify recipes against feeding orders in the electronic health record to generate accurate labels and production lists.
• Deliver prepared products to patient rooms using appropriate patient identifiers and safety precautions.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment using aseptic techniques, equipment cleaning, and temperature monitoring.
• Collaborate with registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) and other healthcare disciplines to fulfill Milk Room requests.
• Protect confidential patient information and communicate effectively with team members.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift at least 15 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of newborn and pediatric nutrition.
• Experience with the safe handling, preparation, and fortification of human milk and infant formula.
• Experience using aseptic techniques and electronic health records.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
