Dietetic Technician

Responsibilities

• Handle, label, prepare, fortify, track, and deliver human milk and pediatric formulas following safety guidelines
• Verify recipes against feeding orders in the electronic health record to generate accurate labels and production lists
• Deliver prepared nutritional products to patient rooms using appropriate patient identifiers
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment using aseptic techniques and equipment cleaning procedures
• Collaborate with registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) and other healthcare disciplines to fulfill Milk Room requests
• Protect confidential patient information and communicate effectively with team members

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift at least 15 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition, dietetics, or a related field
• Knowledge of newborn and pediatric nutrition
• Experience with the safe handling, preparation, and fortification of human milk and infant formula
• Experience using aseptic techniques and electronic health records
