Dietary Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Dining Department
• Schedule, coordinate, and monitor department staffing
• Plan, implement, and evaluate dining services and operations
• Monitor food quality, sanitation, infection control, and kitchen safety standards
• Develop menus incorporating resident preferences and nutritional needs
• Review and process prescribed diets in collaboration with Health Services
• Train and mentor dining staff on food preparation and sanitation
• Conduct resident interviews to assess dining satisfaction
• Oversee meal planning for holidays and special events
• Purchase food, supplies, and equipment as needed
• Balance supervisory duties with hands-on food production as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in food service
• Minimum of three years of cook/food preparation experience
• Knowledge of nutrition, therapeutic diets, and food safety
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

Preferred Qualifications

• AS/BS in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or Hospitality
• ServSafe® or comparable food safety certification
• Experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare food service
• Knowledge of traditional Polish cuisine
• Familiarity with Roman Catholic Dietary customs
