Dietary Aide

Responsibilities

• Serve food in accordance with portion control procedures and prescribed therapeutic diets
• Set up, deliver, and verify the accuracy of meal trays, food carts, and dining areas
• Assist cooks with meal preparation and help obtain necessary food supplies
• Perform kitchen utility duties including sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and cleaning work areas
• Maintain clean and sanitized environments in compliance with health department regulations
• Distribute and collect menus and remove soiled items from dining areas

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Serv Safe certification or required local/state certification
• Experience in food service or hospitality
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, management, and co-workers
• Basic cooking and meal preparation skills
• Understanding of therapeutic diets and sanitation standards
