About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, heavy equipment machinery, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Operate and drive heavy equipment and commercial vehicles safely under CDL A regulations
- Perform troubleshooting and make necessary repairs to diesel engines and equipment components
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including DOT regulations
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of tools and work area
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in diesel and heavy equipment mechanic roles
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical wiring
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
- Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime
