Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic (CDL A)

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, heavy equipment machinery, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
• Operate and drive heavy equipment and commercial vehicles safely under CDL A regulations
• Perform troubleshooting and make necessary repairs to diesel engines and equipment components
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including DOT regulations
• Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of tools and work area

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in diesel and heavy equipment mechanic roles
• Valid CDL Class A driver's license
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical wiring
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
• Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime
