Diesel Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform fault-finding and diagnosis on Volvo products by interpreting performance issues or failures
• Interpret and implement technical information from Volvo manuals and service literature
• Execute repairs and maintenance in accordance with workshop manuals and company quality standards
• Provide accurate reports regarding diagnosis, component assessment, failures, and recommendations
• Ensure excellence in customer service through meticulous adherence to procedures and processes
• Follow specific protocols for breakdown work, including driver liaison and documentation compliance
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and other safety standards

Requirements

• Matric/N3 qualification
• Trade Test Certificate as a Qualified Diesel Mechanic
• 3 years of dealership experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy commercial vehicles
• Ability to read and use relevant measuring equipment
• Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals and specifications
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Computer literacy
