Diesel Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Class 8 tractors and trailers using diagnostic test results
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and diagnosis
• Perform Federal DOT inspections and preventative maintenance
• Execute light and heavy-duty repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Maintain company-owned tools and service trucks
• Participate in company-paid training and continuing education

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Class 8 technician
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Valid state driver’s license and US work authorization
• Ability to provide and maintain personal tools and storage boxes
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, RO Software, Inventory)

Preferred Qualifications

• A or B CDL with a clear driving record
• Current DOT medical certificate
• Computerized diagnostic skills
• Willingness to obtain ASE and OEM certifications
