Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on mobile equipment, including ready mix trucks, front end loaders, and trailers
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic software to identify malfunctions
• Execute welding, repair, and fabrication tasks as required
• Maintain parts inventory and order supplies to ensure operational readiness
• Provide technical advice to truck drivers and equipment operators
• Follow all safety policies, including lock out/tag out procedures and shop safety programs
• Manage a work split of approximately 60% shop-based and 40% field/mobile repairs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• Trade school or related mechanical/technical certification
• Proficiency in diagnostic troubleshooting and basic welding skills
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and crawling
• Ability to read and write in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of mobile equipment maintenance experience
• Specific experience with Ready Mix equipment maintenance
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a safe driving record
