Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, and repair Qube mobile machinery and ancillary equipment
• Carry out mechanical repairs and workshop duties to a high standard
• Maintain strong productivity and ensure work is completed on time
• Assist in training or supervising apprentices as required
• Accurately complete work orders and repair documentation
• Identify required parts and communicate major needs to the Supervisor
• Follow all safe work procedures, including SLAM and lock-out/tag-out requirements
• Adhere to company safety standards, SWIs, and site/road safety rules
• Report any incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately

Requirements

• Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic trade certificate
• Experience in mobile plant equipment
• Strong fault finding skills for heavy-duty diesel fitters
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach to task resolution
• Knowledge of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation
• Preferred experience with heavy vehicle mobile mining equipment
