Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and engine tune-ups
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools
• Inspect engine assemblies, transmissions, and steering mechanisms for wear or issues
• Replace defective parts and reassemble components with precision using service manuals
• Conduct vehicle inspections and prepare detailed reports or roadworthy certificates
• Test and adjust mechanical systems post-service to ensure optimal performance
• Provide occasional on-site support for breakdowns to ensure quick vehicle recovery

Requirements

• Mechanical Trade qualification
• Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals accurately
• Strong time management skills and ability to adhere to schedules
• HR/HC licence (desirable)
