About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and engine tune-ups
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools
- Inspect engine assemblies, transmissions, and steering mechanisms for wear or issues
- Replace defective parts and reassemble components with precision using service manuals
- Conduct vehicle inspections and prepare detailed reports or roadworthy certificates
- Test and adjust mechanical systems post-service to ensure optimal performance
- Provide occasional on-site support for breakdowns to ensure quick vehicle recovery
Requirements
- Mechanical Trade qualification
- Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals accurately
- Strong time management skills and ability to adhere to schedules
- HR/HC licence (desirable)
