Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, including rolling stock
• Maintain and repair heavy diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated vehicles
• Plan and schedule repairs using M5 planner and procure necessary parts
• Complete work orders, reports, and other daily administrative duties
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations
• Utilize various power and hand tools to perform maintenance on heavy and hydraulic equipment
• Assist in the training and orientation of new employees
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma is desired
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a diesel mechanic
• Computer literacy and the ability to be trained on new software systems
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds
• Ability to meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions
• Experience using diagnostic software is a plus
