Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on diesel engines and mechanical components
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, ignition systems, transmissions, and electrical components
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and general vehicle overhaul
• Maintain and update service records for vehicles and equipment
• Replace or repair defective parts and components to meet quality standards
• Respond promptly to service requests and work effectively in a team setting
• Ensure work areas are clean and safe in accordance with company policies
• Stay updated on the latest diesel mechanic technology and attend required training

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a diesel mechanic program or certification preferred
• At least 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic
• Proficiency in maintenance and repair of diesel engines and components
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license
• CDL is a plus
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
