Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, heavy equipment, and mechanical systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and machinery
• Inspect, repair, and replace engine components, fuel systems, cooling systems, and transmission components
• Carry out engine overhauls and mechanical repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Read and interpret technical manuals, service manuals, and mechanical drawings
• Conduct routine inspections to identify faults and ensure equipment reliability
• Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation and performance
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco safety standards, company procedures, and HSE regulations
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
• Support emergency breakdown maintenance when required

Requirements

• Diploma or ITI/Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or Automotive Technology
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic in industrial, construction, or heavy equipment environments
• Mandatory Saudi Aramco project experience
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and fuel systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery
• Familiarity with HSE procedures and safe maintenance practices
• Must be locally available in Saudi Arabia
