About the role

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, or overhaul buses, trucks, and heavy equipment
  • Diagnose malfunctions and consult with customers on diagnostic results
  • Read and interpret diagnostic test results
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and engines
  • Use hydraulic jacks or hoists to raise vehicles and heavy parts
  • Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts, and attach system components
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning mechanical or electrical components
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure correct operation after repairs

Requirements

  • Certificate from a Technical or Trade School
  • 2 or more years of technician experience
  • Current valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
  • Ability to move equipment and parts weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass CORI, criminal background, and MVR checks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • DOT health card
