Diesel Fleet Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repairs on company fleet vehicles including diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts
• Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance to ensure fleet reliability
• Test equipment to ensure proper functioning and performance
• Respond to service calls and complete all required maintenance paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
• Ensure fleet maintenance complies with DOT and other regulatory requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience working with diesel or heavy-duty engines
• Valid driver’s license with a record that meets company MVR guidelines
• Ability to provide personal automotive hand tools for daily work
• Ability to occasionally lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds, as well as squat, kneel, and bend
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
• Basic proficiency with computer applications
