Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician III

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety and reliability
• Conduct FAI/CVI (Annual) inspections on tractors, trailers, converter dollies, and light-duty vehicles in accordance with regulatory agencies
• Execute quality maintenance repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brake systems, and HVAC systems
• Perform diagnosis and repair on refrigeration units (Reefer)
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) write-ups timely and efficiently
• Mentor and share expertise with Fleet Technician I and II levels
• Document all work performed accurately on work orders
• Utilize electrical meter testing and computer-based diagnostic software for OEM repairs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training
• 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair (or 2-year school plus 4 years of experience)
• ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks
• EPA section 608 (Core & Type II) and 609 HVAC & Refrigeration Certification
• Ability to provide own tools for maintenance and diagnostics
