Diamond/Core Driller

Responsibilities

• Safely operate diamond/core drilling rigs in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Conduct pre-start inspections and ongoing checks of drill rigs, rods, core barrels, and pumps
• Accurately set up drill sites, align rigs, and collar holes to specified angles and depths
• Monitor drilling parameters to optimize core recovery and equipment performance
• Ensure maximum core recovery and proper placement of core in trays
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and minor mechanical repairs
• Maintain accurate drilling records, including meterage and daily reports
• Enforce safe work practices and maintain high housekeeping standards at the drill site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diamond/Core Driller in mineral exploration or mining
• Strong understanding of diamond drilling techniques and core recovery methods
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and routine maintenance
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work long shifts in remote or FIFO environments
• Physically fit and capable of working in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license
