Dialysis Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically competent nursing care for assigned home dialysis patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate dialysis treatment and patient response
• Train patients and home partners on safe home dialysis therapy and equipment use
• Document patient assessments, treatment data, and care plans accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team on patient needs
• Administer medications and respond to urgent or emergency situations as needed
• Support quality improvement, staff training, and orientation activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience preferred
• Home dialysis therapy experience preferred
• Ability to meet state practice requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Nephrology nursing experience
• Experience with home peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis
• Strong patient education and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
