About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound imaging procedures in accordance with clinical standards and departmental procedures
  • Prepare written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results
  • Provide exceptional care to patients, families, and caregivers
  • Communicate effectively with inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, high patient volume setting
  • Participate in professional development, teaching, and mentoring activities
  • Fulfill on-call requirements and coordinate daily work schedules as required

Requirements

  • Certification by Sonography Canada or equivalent
  • CMRITO registration
  • Completion of BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sonography Canada membership
  • ARDMS registration in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB) and Abdomen (AB)
  • Related technologist experience in a hospital environment
