Diabetic Nurse Educator

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the diabetes education program
• Provide individualized and group education and counseling on all aspects of diabetes self-care
• Acquire and maintain accreditation by the American Diabetes Association

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license from the Montana State Board of Nurse Examiners
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience
• Certified as a Diabetes Educator or willingness to obtain CDE
• Experience in chronic disease management, particularly in diabetes
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across multiple education levels
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
