DGM - Purchase

Responsibilities

• Execute operational purchasing of direct and indirect materials to support factory operations and strategic sourcing implementation.
• Manage supplier development activities globally, including assessing lean management practices, production efficiency, and quality management processes.
• Negotiate and sign local agreements and review purchase requisitions to identify optimal sources of supply.
• Participate in global and regional strategic sourcing projects, providing local market data and validating RFI/RFP completeness.
• Drive local sourcing initiatives through market analysis, supplier screening, and leading negotiations.
• Oversee purchasing administration, including issuing purchase orders, managing invoice deviations, and maintaining vendor master data.
• Manage and coach supplier development engineers to close performance gaps at prioritized suppliers.
• Support SQA activities as needed to meet category or business unit requirements.

Requirements

• 12-15 years of experience in supplier development, product development, project management, or supply chain management.
• BE in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or equivalent) obtained via full-time study.
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Deep understanding of quality systems, including APQP, PPAP, and IATF requirements.
• Proven experience in team management and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or PMP certification.
• Experience with Ariba or similar e-procurement systems.
