About the role

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional Engineering teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges using DFX principles.
  • Define and enforce manufacturing process best practices to bridge the gap between design intent and production reality.
  • Develop manufacturing assembly processes, fixtures, and equipment requirements.
  • Drive line and fixture qualifications to meet rigorous quality and reliability standards.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for factory-related operational issues, including final assembly, testing methods, and failure analysis.
  • Provide direction and guidance to other engineering groups and factory technicians to foster continuous improvement.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering roles with a focus on product design or manufacturing.
  • Proven experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Manufacturing Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience performing tolerance analysis for assemblies and part-level drawings.
  • Proficiency with NX or PTC Creo CAD software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in AI-driven manufacturing or Smart Factory initiatives.
  • Familiarity with liquid adhesives, hot bar, or laser soldering/jetting.
  • Working knowledge of optics principles related to CCD cameras and optical alignment.
  • Experience in precision assembly, inspection, and automation equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact.
