DevSecOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate and execute over-the-air (OTA) software deployments to globally fielded systems in DDIL environments.
• Maintain scalable Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS IL-6 with high availability and fault tolerance.
• Build and refine CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD for seamless code-to-cloud transitions across security domains.
• Integrate automated security scanning (Trivy, SonarQube) and enforce compliance with government security standards.
• Build and maintain hardened, STIG-compliant Docker container images and integrate them with Harbor and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop features to automate, scale, test, and secure Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Monitor system health remotely to preempt failures and optimize performance across cloud and container environments.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI US government clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or DevSecOps in a cloud environment.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting for automation.
• Strong Linux/Unix command line proficiency (preferably RHEL-based).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (cluster operations, RBAC, networking, and troubleshooting).
• Experience with Docker, including writing Dockerfiles and building hardened images.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Helm.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native infrastructure patterns.
• Experience with RKE2 or other enterprise Kubernetes distributions in air-gapped environments.
• Familiarity with Harbor, Nexus, Trivy, and SonarQube.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
• CKA, CKAD, CKS, or AWS DevOps Professional certifications.
