DevSecOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Develop automation processes for application deployment, management, and monitoring in cloud and data center environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues, participating in on-call escalations
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines with streamlined change management
• Implement security practices, vulnerability assessments, and system hardening to protect data and infrastructure
• Provision virtual machines, databases, and application containers
• Automate configuration management for development, QA, and production workloads

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering disciplines
• Strong understanding of SDLC, TDD, CI, and CD
• Proficiency in at least three scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go)
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with automated provisioning tools like Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Vagrant
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or BitBucket
• Knowledge of CNCF tools (Prometheus, Helm, ArgoCD, Istio)
• Experience implementing security controls and vulnerability scanning
• Understanding of network infrastructure including firewalls, subnets, and routing

Preferred Qualifications

• Security certifications such as CREST, CISSP, or CISM
• Experience with security frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS benchmarks
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault, ElasticSearch, or AWS security services
• Knowledge of API security and zero-trust architectures
