DevOps Tech Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-4 operations professionals and work cross-functionally with developers, quants, and traders
• Develop deployment pipelines and automate configuration management
• Build Python-based tools for operational processes and system optimization
• Drive code reviews and establish development standards
• Monitor and optimize system performance for high availability, scalability, and security
• Coordinate incident response and implement automated solutions to prevent recurring issues
• Make infrastructure decisions and design scalable architecture
• Report on operational metrics and KPIs to senior leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• At least 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting
• Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line tools
• Proficiency with Git for version control

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Nagios or similar monitoring systems
• Backend or frontend development experience for operational tooling
• Previous experience in a trading firm or financial services environment
• Knowledge of database management and SQL
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and network protocols
